Lacy Guy Dunn 

Lacy Guy Dunn, age 89, of Pinckneyville, passed away at Pinckneyville Community Hospital Skilled Care Unit at 3:27 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2008.  

Lacy was born March 9, 1919 in Pinckneyville, a son to Walter and Henneritta Louise (Lacy) Dunn. He served his country in the United States Army in World War II. On October 10, 1946, he married Norma R. Klingenberg in Nashville.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, former owner of Cole, Dunn at Keene Company where Lacy was a brick layer and masonary contractor and was a member of the Brick Layers Union, Murphysboro.  He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pinckneyville Panthers, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening, but most of all he enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up.  

He is survived by wife, Norma R. Dunn; three daughters, Linda Dunn of Centralia, Brenda Dunn (Gerry Pratt) of Pinckneyville, and Cindy (Larry) Trail of Pinckneyville; one sister, Mary Ann Jeffries of Granite City; six grandchildren, Lori (Mark) Sronce of Corydon, Ind, Lana (Sean) Wilkin of Corydon, Ind., Jason Schweizer of Centralia, David Burris of Troy, Robyn (Travis) Bailey of Destin, Fla., and Jared Trail (fianc Carrie Degenhardt) of Pinckneyville; and eleven great-grandchildren, Michael Burris, Braden Smith, Taylor Burris, Gabe Sronce, Noah Bailey, Elijah Wilkin, Evie Sronce, Olivia Wilkin, Kai Bailey, Emma Bailey, and Hunter Trail.  

He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter; one brother, James C. Dunn; and four sisters, Alice Hunsacker, Edna Heathman, Marie Cates, and Christina McKinstry. 

Friends may call on Thursday, May 8, 2008 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville. There will be a private family graveside service. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery.
